One of the most important missions of state and local Public Health is to protect the public from harm. This includes providing a safe refuge and basic health services during an emergency. This session highlights Georgia Department of Public Health Nursing quality improvement efforts to increase professional and personal preparedness. This includes innovative approaches Public Health Nurses are taking to promote community awareness, form new partnerships, and train the workforce.
